The Albino Sterbai Cory (Corydoras sterbai) is a striking, uncommon pink and yellow color variant of the popular, warm-water bottom dweller. Highly active and peaceful, these social schooling catfish thrive in tropical planted aquariums. They are excellent clean-up crews that sift through fine sand without damaging their delicate barbels.
- Temperature: 22°C to 28°C (warmer than many other Cory species)
- Water pH: 6.0 to 7.5
- Diet: Omnivore. They require a high-quality sinking pellet, and thrive on frozen foods like bloodworms and brine shrimp.
- Minimum School Size: 6 or more; they need a shoal to feel secure and display their natural playful behavior.
- Tank Size: At least 60 cm in length (roughly 75 liters/20 gallons).
- Substrate: Fine gravel or smooth sand is highly recommended to protect their sensitive whiskers (barbels).
